BLYTHE, Calif – On Monday, September 5 at about 7:52 PM Blythe Police was contacted by Keith Riggert stating he was ready to turn himself in. See Rape Suspect Eludes Police in High-Speed Chase. He advised he would meet with officers at the Blythe Cinema parking lot located in the 600 block of W.
Hobsonway.
Officer Joey Ley and Officer Ronnie Jones responded to the parking lot. They met with Riggert who surrendered to them. He was taken into custody for his outstanding warrants and later booked into the Blythe jail for rape, felony evading arrest, battery, vandalism and misdemeanor evading arrest.
Persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
