Public's help is needed in locating two people involved in attempted murder

TWENTYNINE PALMS, Calif – On Sunday, March 17, at about 12:05 p.m., deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department - Morongo Basin Station, responded to an assault call in the 5400 block of Daisy Avenue in Twentynine Palms. Through investigation, deputies determined Cody Pangle (age of Joshua Tree) entered the residence where Kameren Johnson (age 18 of Twentynine Palms) was visiting friends.
Pangle then proceeded to stab Johnson, with a knife, once to the left side of his chest, causing serious injury. Pangle then fled the location with girlfriend, Christa Thomas (age 22 of Twentynine Palms), in a tan 1997 Toyota Corolla, with a Montana license plate number 399761B.
Johnson was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment. Deputies conducted an extensive search for Thomas and Pangle with negative results. Their whereabouts are currently unknown.

Persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
