Car crash leaves two dead

BLYTHE, Calif On Sunday, October 27 at about 9:30 p.m., Blythe Police Officers were on patrol in the area of 6th Ave at Defrain Blvd when they located a silver BMW in the middle of an alfalfa field. The BMW looked as though it had been in a traffic collision. The Officers inspected the vehicle and located two Hispanic males that were deceased.

During the investigation Officers learned that the silver BMW was traveling eastbound on 6th Ave at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle left the roadway, struck a Southern California Edison power pole, and rolled several times into the alfalfa field. Both occupants were ejected from the vehicle. Alcohol was determined to be a contributing factor to this traffic collision.

Persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
