Man assaulted with a tire iron

NEEDLES, Calif – On Thursday, February 27 at about 9:08 PM, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff - Colorado River Sheriff’s Station/Needles Police responded to the 600 block of Acoma Street after getting a report of an assault.

On arrival, deputies located a male who was suffering from head injuries. Further investigation revealed that Antonio Miller (25 of Needles) had arrived at the location and assaulted the victim with a tire iron. Miller had then fled the scene and was not located by deputies.

The following morning at about 8:15, Miller was contacted at the Sheriff’s station. He was interviewed and subsequently booked into the Colorado River Station jail for Assault with a Deadly Weapon. He is being held on $50,000 bail.

Persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
