High-speed chase through town results in arrest on multiple charges

JOSHUA TREE, Calif – On Saturday, November 30 at about 3:41 p.m., a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a Black Ford F-250 with no license plates. The vehicle failed to yield and a vehicle pursuit began which continued through Joshua Tree for several miles at high rates of speed.

The driver, later identified as Victor Finn (age 45 of Joshua Tree), afterwards stopped his vehicle and attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended.

A records check of the vehicle indicated it was reported stolen out of Joshua Tree on November 4, 2019. Inside the vehicle the Deputy recovered heroin, U.S. Currency, plastic baggies, and a scale. Finn who also had a warrant for his arrest, was arrested for Failure to yield, Possession of a stolen vehicle and, Possession of narcotics for sales. Finn was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail and is being held in lieu of $ 100,000 bail.

Persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
