December 11, 2019
NEEDLES, Calif – On Sunday, December 8 at 9:56 a.m., San Bernardino County Sheriff deputies responded to the report of a commercial burglary at the Needles Animal Control offices. Employees noticed several locks had been cut leading to a storage shed and several bags of dog food, miscellaneous cleaning supplies, and dog treats were stolen from the location.
Deputies identified Joseph Collier (age 45 of Needles) as the suspect. Collier was contacted at his residence and was found in possession of the stolen items. He was arrested for PC459-Burglary and booked into the Colorado River Station Jail on $25,000 bail.
A large portion of these pet supplies are funded by donations from the residents of Needles. The shelter needs these items to care for the animals in their facility. Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact Deputy E. Blackard of the Colorado River Station - Needles Police (760) 326-9200.
