BLYTHE, Calif – At the past meeting of the PVUSD Board of Trustees, neither the Secondary Student of the Month – Bianca Rojas – nor Principal Lisa Schlehuber were able to attend. One of her teachers, Willie Krebbers, was on hand to read her introduction into the record. The Desert Independent caught up with her a week later and a picture as well as a copy of the presentation
She is an office aide and BMS Secretary Ms. Gracia was very complimentary of her abilities.
The statement as read to the Board is as follows:
It is with great pleasure to introduce Bianca Rojas tonight as Blythe Middle School Student of the month.
Bianca is an eighth grader who has a 2.43 this semester. One of the reasons she was nominated is because she took the responsibility to go to tutoring because that was not acceptable to her, she wants to achieve and is willing to do what it takes to reach her dreams.
Bianca has an exemplary behavior and attendance record and is very punctual. She is an office aide and her punctuality extends to meeting the deadlines of projects she is assigned. She is a self-started and always looking to serve. She is friendly, a hard worker, great helper, has a positive attitude, leadership skills, and personality one enjoys being around. She makes strangers feel comfortable with her smile and professional demeanor.
Bianca is the second oldest of eight children, six girls and 2 boys. The oldest is 14 and the youngest is 2. The 2 year old brother thinks the world of her and another sister as he seems to be their living shadow. But Bianca doesn’t mind because she enjoys helping him.
Her future goal is to study astronomy, however for now she is planning on tending to the new puppies her dog just had. It is for the reason and many more that Bianca was chosen as Blythe Middle School Student of the Month for February.
