BLYTHE, Calif – National Police Week is May 13-19 during which the Concerns of Police Survivors Organization encourages the display of blue ribbons on car antennas. This group distributes over 1,000,000 blue ribbons for National Police Week.

Citizens and law enforcement personnel are encouraged to tie blue ribbons to their car antennas as a sign of support for fallen officers and those still serving.

Blue ribbons are currently available from the Blythe Police Department. Stop by the department and pick up your ribbon to honor fallen officers and show your support for all of the law enforcement officers serving our community. “By flying the blue ribbon you are also showing your support for the fallen officers’ families that have suffered the most” Chief Steve Smith said.

Anyone with information about this or any criminal activity is urged to contact the Blythe Police Department at (760) 922-6111. Information can be given anonymously by calling (760) 921-CARE.
