Heroin and Methamphetamine Seizure

BLYTHE, Calif On Thursday, November 8 at about 1:50 in the morning, the Blythe Narcotic Enforcement Team (BNET), Colorado River Station deputies and Blythe Police Department officers served a narcotic-related search warrant in the 1500 block area of East Hobsonway. A search of the residence resulted in the seizure of a significant amount of suspected heroin and methamphetamine.

Items indicative of drug sales and maintaining a residence for drug activity were also seized. Debra Lee Wright, 51, from Blythe, was arrested and booked into the Blythe Jail for the following violations:

  • 11351 H&S- Possession of heroin for sales

  • 11378 H&S- Possession of methamphetamine for sales

  • 11366 H&S- Maintaining a residence where controlled substances are sold or used

  • 11364 H&S- Possession of drug paraphernalia

Persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

BNET is a multi-agency narcotic task force participated in by law enforcement agencies in the Blythe, Palo Verde Valley area. BNET's primary mission is to disrupt narcotic sales and diminish the availability of those drugs, thereby increasing public safety. Citizens are encouraged to report drug activity or information that could lead into the arrest of subjects involved with any criminal activity.
