Dwayne Harris Honored on Retirement

Long-Time City Employee

BLYTHE, Calif – At the past Blythe City Council meeting, employee Dwayne Harris was singled out for thanks in regards to his dedication to the City of Blythe during his 33-year career working in a number of different positions.

A plaque was presented by Mayor Galvan and it was noted that “Dwayne Harris began working for the City of Blythe on April 3, 1978. Dwayne worked in various positions within the Public Works Department and was an Equipment Operator in the Streets Department when he retired on November 30, 2011 after almost 34 years with the City.”

Mayor Galvan noted that “the City of Blythe would like to thank him for his service and congratulate him on a deserved retirement.” The staff of The Desert Independent would like to extend their best wishes as well.
