Blythe Narcotic Enforcement Team Arrests 26 Last Month

BLYTHE, Calif During the month of December 2011, the Blythe Narcotic Enforcement Team (BNET) made 26 arrests. Fifteen of those arrests were for felonies with the rest for misdemeanors. Arrest details follow:

  • On December 1st, about 5:42 p.m., Martin Escobedo, 31, from Blythe, was arrested at a residence located in the 400 block of South 6th Street. Escobedo had a felony arrest warrant for possession of a controlled substance for sales. He was booked into the Blythe Jail.

  • About 6:13 p.m., Jeanine Gayle Bohannon, 51, from Blythe, was arrested at a residence located in the 600 block of Holley Lane. Bohannon had a felony arrest warrant for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. She was booked into the Blythe Jail.

  • About 8:33 p.m., William Joe Parrish, 28, and Adriane Marissa Rodriguez, 25, both from Blythe, were arrested at a residence located in the 300 block of Palm Drive. Parrish had a felony warrant for fraud/forgery. Rodriguez had a felony warrant for possession of a controlled substance and two misdemeanor warrants for possession of a controlled substance and under the influence of a controlled substance. Both subjects were booked into the Blythe Jail.

  • On December 2nd, about 3:08 p.m., Ramon Leivas Talamante, 25, from Blythe, was arrested at a residence in 200 block of Palm Drive. Talamante had a felony arrest warrant for violation of parole. He was booked into the Blythe Jail.

  • About 4:07 p.m., Lindsay Rene Boyens, 25, from Blythe, was contacted in the 400 block of North Eucalyptus. A computer check on Boyens revealed she had a misdemeanor arrest warrant. Boyens was searched incident to her arrest and found in possession of suspected methamphetamine. She was booked into the Blythe Jail for possession of a controlled substance and the warrant.

  • On December 7th, about 10:13 p.m., Ron Mitchell Kincade, 31, from Blythe, was contacted during an investigative stop in the 500 block of West Donlon Street. During the investigation, Kincade was found in possession of suspected marijuana and a significant amount of pharmaceutical drugs without a prescription. Kincade was arrested and booked into the Blythe Jail for possession and transportation of a controlled substance.

  • On December 14th, about 4:30 p.m., BNET attempted to contact George Anthony Barreras, 42, from Blythe, in the 700 block of East Hobsonway. Barreras is a local parolee with search terms. Barreras was riding a bicycle and immediately fled from the officers. Barreras was apprehended several blocks away and arrested. He was found in possession of suspected heroin, prescription drugs, and drug paraphernalia. Barreras was booked into the Blythe Jail on the drug charges and resisting & delaying an officer and violation of parole.

  • On December 15th, about 9:55 a.m., United States Border Patrol agents from the Blythe Station and BNET contacted Christopher Jamaal Lovejoy, 28, from Los Angeles, during an investigative stop on Interstate 10 and Defrain Boulevard. When consent to search the vehicle was obtained, officers found a significant amount of suspected marijuana and over $10,000 cash inside the vehicle. Lovejoy was arrested and booked into the Blythe Jail for possession and transportation of marijuana for sales.

  • On December 22nd, about 10:00 a.m., United States Border Patrol agents contacted Anthony Bamidele Awosanya, 23, from Los Angeles, in the 400 block of South Lovekin Boulevard during an immigration check. During the contact, Awosanya told agents he was in possession of marijuana. The agents checked his luggage and found a significant amount of suspected marijuana. BNET responded and took over the investigation. Awosanya was arrested and booked into the Blythe Jail for possession and transportation of marijuana for sales.

  • On December 22nd, about 9:35 p.m., Carlos Salazar Alvarado, 36, from Blythe, was contacted during an investigative stop. The officer knew Alvarado had an active felony arrest warrant and attempted to arrest him. Alvarado resisted and fled. Alvarado was apprehended several blocks away with the assistance of Colorado River Station deputies and Blythe Police officers. He was booked into the Blythe Jail on the warrant (possession of stolen property) and resisting and delaying an officer.

  • On December 27th, about 7:11 p.m., Shannon Lane, 25, from Blythe, was contacted during an investigative stop. Lane, a local probationer with search terms, was found to be driving without a license and arrested. Officers re-located to his residence located in the 200 block of Fir Road and conducted a probation search. The search yielded the unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Lane was booked into the Blythe Jail.

  • On December 28th, about 9:54 p.m., Mario Barreras, 41, from Blythe, was contacted in the 100 block of South Ash Street. The officer knew Barreras was on active parole and invoked his search terms. Barreras was found in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Barreras was arrested and booked into the Blythe Jail.

  • On December 29th, about 12:21 p.m., Jeffrey Elwyn Mclain, 31, from Blythe, was contacted at a residence in the 1000 block of East Chanslorway. The officer knew Mclain was on active parole and invoked his search terms. Mclain was found in possession of suspected methamphetamine for sales, personal identification information belonging to over 40 people, and stolen property. Mclain was arrested and booked into the Blythe Jail.

  • On December 30th, about 4:15 p.m., James Bowen, 28, from Blythe, was contacted in the 900 block of East Hobsonway. A computer check revealed Bowen had two felony warrants for possession of a controlled substance. Bowen was arrested and booked into the Blythe Jail.

BNET is a multi-agency narcotic task force participated in by law enforcement agencies in the Blythe-Palo Verde Valley area. BNET's primary mission is to disrupt narcotic sales and diminish the availability of those drugs, thereby increasing public safety. Citizens are encouraged to report drug activity or information that could lead into the arrest of subjects involved with any criminal activity.
